Living With Obamacare Insurance

With the passing of the Affordable Care Act, more reasonably priced health insurance has been made available for Americans. Also known as Obamacare insurance, the Affordable Care Act was signed in March of 2010 and offers Americans a healthcare alternative. Even though the act was signed in 2010, it will not fully take effect until 2022. Until then, reforms will be enacted on a year-by-year basis.

The Affordable Care Act was meant to help Americans battle rising health care costs by providing affordable health insurance. The act gives Americans access to unprecedented benefits. In the past people could be denied treatment or charged more based on their gender. This new act protects Americans from these types of unfortunate situations.

Obamacare insurance provides superior preventative services and increases the standards of basic health care coverage. It offers discounts to low and middle-income Americans through the Health Insurance Marketplace. The insurance is a great option for people who are not offered coverage through their employers.

A reform that primarily helps lower and middle-income earners, individuals who make less than $200,000 and families that earn less than $250,000 annually are exempt from paying Obamacare taxes. The act also requires that every American has health insurance through a private company or a federal program. Citizens who do not enroll in health insurance will be subject to higher taxation.

The primary goal of the reform is to ensure health care for all Americans. By making insurance more affordable and accessible, the act helps protect those in need. Reduced premiums and out-of-pocket costs are available to individuals and families that earn less than 4x the federal poverty level. The plan also requires large employers to provide health benefits to full-time workers starting in 2015.

Healthcare is an important priority for individuals and family alike. Obamacare insurance is making adequate healthcare far more accessible. By improving the availability and benefits of health insurance, Obamacare helps to take the strain off those with medical issues.
