For early retirees who are of the pre-Medicare age, there are multiple types of health insurance for every budget and need. The government marketplace will offer you federal tax credits, resulting in lower payments for your policy. Outside of the government marketplace, you can go through insurance companies, agents, or brokers. COBRA coverage may also carry you through if you only need temporary insurance until you are eligible for Medicare.
